Brooklyn NY Braces In High School
“Mom, all the kids are getting their braces off already.”
“But honey if you don’t get braces now you can have serious problems later in life.”
“I don’t care if my teeth are crooked.”
“It’s more than that sweetie. You can have trouble chewing and your teeth are more likely to fall out when you’re younger. Do you really want to have a pair of dentures on your bedside table?”
“I guess not.”
“Well then let’s go and see the NY orthodontist. He’ll tell you what your options are, and maybe you can get Brooklyn Invisalign or a retainer instead of braces.”
“That would be cool.”
“Don’t worry about what people think now honey. You’re going to have these teeth for the rest of your life. Even if you have to wear braces for a year or two it’s not the end of the world. Once you get your teeth straightened you will feel so much better, you have no idea.”
“Maybe.”
“Come on, let’s go. The NY orthodontist is expecting us at 3:45 and it’s already 3:20.”
“Fine. But I’m not going to be happy if he says I need braces.”
“Maybe not now, but in twenty years you will be.”
