Brooklyn Invisalign, Brooklyn NY Braces, NYC Braces Orthodontist and more!
When I was fourteen we moved and I had a new dentist. He took x-rays of my mouth and said, why didn’t you ever have Medicaid braces when you were younger? My old dentist told me my teeth were fine. My new dentist gave me the name of an NY orthodontist.
At my appointment, the NYC braces orthodontist said I should get braces. But all my friends were getting them off and I was ashamed to have to get braces so late in my adolescent career. I said I didn’t want them. My parents cautioned me, if you don’t get braces like the orthodontist says, you could wind up with heart disease and other health problems later in life. Later in life, I scorned, I’m fourteen! My dad said, you should get them now while I’ll pay for them because when you’re in your forties and you want them it’s going to set you back a pretty penny. Psh. In my forties. I couldn’t even imagine twenty-one.
Today, I’m thirty-three and my teeth have become worse. I have a weird bite. Last time I went to the dentist I had two cavities in between my teeth, likely due to crowding. I think I’m going to have to get braces.
